Our Teachers
Michelle is the Principal and owner of The Elite Academy of Dance, founded in 2002. She trained from a young age at the Deepings Dance Centre in Market Deeping where she gained her advanced ISTD qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern, as well as advanced Acrobatics.
Michelle is a fellow of The Royal Ballet School following completion of The Royal Ballet School Diploma in Dance Teaching (DDT). She is a qualified ISTD teacher in Ballet (Licentiate, DDE), Tap (DDE), Modern (DDE) and Contemporary. She is an Acrobatic Arts certified teacher, a Registered Teacher for the Dang Theatre and Dance Syllabus, a qualified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) teacher and an RAD Silver Swans© Licensee. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Durham University Business School.

Michelle trained as a full time student from the age of 11 at Elmhurst Ballet School and Arts Educational School. She achieved full accredited examinations in all genres including ISTD & RAD Classical Ballet, Cecchetti Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern, Contemporary, Jazz and Flamenco as well as achieving a Diploma in Dance from Arts Educational Schools, Chiswick, London.
Michelle has represented the UK in youth festivals in Europe and performed for royalty, notably the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
Michelle has taught ballet at the Elite Academy of Dance for a number of years as well as other performing arts schools in surrounding areas. She is a qualified ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet teacher.
Michelle Gough
Anna trained at the Elite Academy of Dance from the age of 5, where she gained her Advanced ISTD qualifications in Tap Dance, Classical Ballet, and Modern Theatre. She holds a Masters in Natural Sciences from the University of York, where she also secured places on the Advanced Tap and Ballet teams. Anna performed at competitions across the UK, for judges such as Strictly's Nikita Kuzmin and award-winning choreographer Dane Bates. Anna also represented the university in Ballroom and Latin Dancesport at IVDC Blackpool.
